Dare to Dream

This layout was done for a challenge at Scrap'n Chat. The challenge was to create a chevron pattern. I cut lots of 1/2 inch by 2 inch pieces and then just started gluing them together and down. I love the effect of it!

I didn't bother to miter the connections on this layout, if I do another layout like this one I will prolly make the cut.

I  had one of those felt border adhesive pieces so I cut it apart and used it on this layout. I'm not entirely happy with the outcome, but it's done!

Water Baby

This layout was for a challenge at Scrap'n Chat. It was to use a pop of red, well my pop of red looks orange! LoL! The paper behind the photos is red and for some reason it looks orange on here.
The words on the right side were originally one piece and I cut them apart, I don't remember when I got them, I really think it was when Shani was a baby and she's 6 now. The flowers, corner and the scalloped embellishment under the photo is from a really old set of thickers.
I added a little piece of paper tape to the bottom of the journal card. That tape has been in my stash for years.
The little glitter circle trim is a relatively new purchase, made within the last year.
I stapled the words down.

Hanging Out

This layout started as a challenge for Scrap N Chat but then I found the paper that I had pulled together for a Color Room challenge.

Here's a close up of the paint splatters and bling, I love how the paint splatters look!

I actually stamped my journal box right onto the paper.

Love the banner that I made out of scraps, scraps from the layout itself as well as from my scrap bin.

Tough Guy

This is a layout done for a challenge on Scrap N Chat, it called for using a white background and I just layered up paper from there. These are photos of my son playing around with his stepson, his niece and his wife. He always wants to be a tough guy but really he's a softy!

The paper had the superhero word already on it and I added some extra chipboard words and flowers and that heart is a sticker.

buddies is chipboard and the title sticker, the little ticket and saying are stickers that are popped up.

I just love these chipboard words, they have been in my stash forever!

This layout is of my friend Raela's daughter Hannah. She is such a little character! I love the background paper, it is the same corn flower blue as Hannah's eyes, I wish my photo would have captured that!
The paper for this one is all Basic Grey. I made this layout for a challenge at Scrap N Chat, the theme of the challenge was to use only pastel colors.

Here's a close up of the brads in the washi tape and the bling beside the picture.
The other end of the washi tape with more brads.

I can't remember where that cute little owl came from but Raela is incorporating owls into Hannah's scrapbook album so I thought I would put one on the page since I am giving it to Raela to put in Hannah's book.
