Zoë Meets Ted--August CKC

This layout was inspired by a sketch at Sketch'n'Scrap and it used paper and embellishments from my August CKC kit.
I can't even begin to describe how special Ted is, he was my youngest son Jason's bestest buddy when he was a baby and toddler...ok through age 7 or 8...LoL!!! We didn't go anywhere without Ted and we for sure didn't sleep at night without Ted. When Ted's music box stopped working it took about 3 weeks for Jason to learn to go to sleep without it...miserable time for everyone! I remember the day he came home from school and asked me if he was a baby because he still slept with his Ted Bear? My heart broke a little that day and I told he absolutly not! But after that Ted found his way into my bed to sleep with me more nights than not. He lived on my bedside table for years and years and finally made it into the top of the closet when Jason reached his teenage years. I've pulled him down many, many, many times over the years when life has been overwhelming just for the safety and security his presence has offered. So when Jason and wife Misty produced little Zoë it felt natural to pull Ted out of the closet and get him all spruced up for another round of infant/toddler/child loving!

I was able to layer several border in this layout, the yellow one has been in my stash for years and years.

Lots of layering here with journal spots. I like the look of the outlined letters but I haven't gotten very good at it, I still make some mess-ups.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!!!

Beautiful Baby Zoë--August CKC

This is a simple layout, mostly because the picture is so sectacular I didn't want to take anything away from it! My sweet grand daughter Zoë is such a precious little girl!!!
The layout was inspired by a sketch from, the date on it is 15 June 2012 but for the life of me I can't find it on her site now. I used my August CKC kit on this one too.

I decided rather than try to outline around the baby letters I would outline on top of them, the lines aren't perfect, but I like it! I layered several journal spots and stamped the sentiment on the bottom one, I didn't get it very straight but that's ok too since I didn't smear it!

I had to get creative with the Beautiful title, I didn't have another E so I frankeinsteined an L and the legs of an N with the one side trimed down. I don't know why I continue to buy and use alpha's when I can use my quickutz to cut them out and never have to worry about missing letters and having to make new ones!

The color dots are cut from a piece of paper that was full of all size color dots.

Is She Totally Glamorous Or What--August ckc

This layout was inspired by a sketch at Stuck! sketches. Yes, it is from my August CKC kit. I know...I'm a little behind on my posting!

You can hardly tell it but I added some stickles to the little dots on the light blue patterned paper.

I added some liquid pearls to the center of the purple flower and some clear glitter stickles to the pink flower.

The title is from one of my pattern papers, I cut out this piece.

Update & a Card

Hello's been awhile! School is finally done and I have finished up some projects I was working on for Christmas. I still have a few more to complete but I don't feel like just my nose is above water now! LoL! So I have lots of posts nearly ready to share, I've taken lots of pictures and uploaded them, now I just have to write something to go along with it all.

Thanks for sticking around and waiting on me...I'm hoping that my life won't be as hectic this next semester so that I might get to post more frequently!

One afternoon I had the urge to be creative but didn't really have the time to work on a layout so I decided to make a card out of scraps from my August CKC kit.
I used the new sketch book "Make It from Your Heart" Vol 1 from CTMH. It's well worth the $7.95 price for 48 pages, with the 20 double page layouts, 2 single page layouts and 12 card sketches. Nope I don't sell CTMH...but my dear friend Audrey Key does and I have linked her above if you want to order one of these fab new sketch books!
The inside is blank for now and I stamped the trees on the front of the envelope.
