Together--Unfinished 2013

Here's a layout that I made in November 2013, I love this layout and it currently still lives in my unfinished layout album waiting for  the pictures that will one take reside here. This layout feels somewhat formal to me and I want to have photos that are more than just everyday photos for it. So here it is....

I have been in the mood to make some 2 page layouts recently after the re-emergence of Allison Davis. I love her 2 page sketches and I have all 8 of her sketch books.
I also love CTMH and I've been hoarding the Avonlea paper packs (one for cards and one for workshop on the go) that I bought last year. I decided to pull them out and see what I could create.
So here is the 2 page layout I created with the help of Allison Davis sketch book 8. For a full list of
supplies, please scroll to the bottom of this post.

I hate that I didn't catch this one before I posted it, awful lighting!

I included some velvet rub-ons that CTMH came out with last year and almost immediately discontinued. Why...? Because they suck! After I finished this layout the ones that were left (and there were lots) went into the trash!

I used a MME felt alpha for the title.

Here's a close up of the layering I did. I have the paper and glitter ribbon down, then I adhered the velvet rub-on over that, topped it with a pearl flourish and then scattered some canvas embellishments around.

I cut apart the Want 2 Scrap pearl flourish border and used part on the top and part on the bottom.

More layering here.

And more layering up the side.

Supplies: CTMH--Olive cardstock, colonial white cardstock, Avonlea pattern paper, Avonlea compliment canvas sheets, parlor velvet rub-ons, opaques pearl flourish, cocoa ink, Recollections gold glitter tape, MME lush green felt alpha, Want 2 Scrap flourish, Allison Davis Sketch Book 8 (5 photo)

September 2014 CKC--Birthday Fun-ny Faces

Here's another layout from my September 2014 Fun Play CKC kit. I was inspired to make this layout by a 4 photo sketch from Scrapbook Generation volume 5 book.
I can't explain the faces that my sister and I had on our faces in the last photo so don't ask! LoL!!

Left side used lots of embellishments and the black and silver chipboard embellishments from the kit along with some randomness from my desktop bowl.

I love that I was able to use that alpha to make such a long title.

I staggered the letters by popping up every other one.

I journaled on some scrap blue bits of paper.

I used lots of rub ons here along with some brads.

More randomness from the bowl full of leftovers on my desk.

September 2014 CKC--Family Today

Here is another layout using my September 2014 Fun Play Kit. I was inspired to create this double page layout using a Scrapbook generation 6 photo sketch from Volume 5.
I used nearly the entire pace of those floral stickers on this layout.

I also used nearly the entire page of the coaster board embellishments on this page.

I love that I was able to add so many random things that felt like they belonged together!
I love how the embellishments blended together when I layered them up.
I was worried that the purple would clash with this page but it really worked in the end.
The Today Stickers looked so much better with that bit of bling added to them!
I love that I was able to add so many different papers, washi and border strips/stickers and they blended so well!

September 2014 CKC--Thanksgiving Outtakes 2013

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!
Here is another double page layout using my September Fun Play kit. I was inspired to make this layout by the Jeanette Lynton cherish sketch book, the layout is from page 78 and the sketch is called Accent Emphasis.
These photos were taken last Thanksgiving when my Mom was here.
I did add the alphas to the kit for these pages, otherwise everything was from the kit.

The center's of the flowers were paperclips and I just cut the clip part off with an old pair of scissors.

I used the grunge-board numbers to create the year, I just added some spray mist to make them pop.

I finally used up those brown and gold stickers.

I used a 3x4 PL card from my stash to punch out the tickets here.

I did pop the blue sticker up some just to add a little interest to the page.

And finally I cut out some of the black flowers from a border sticker to add some black throughout the page.

September 2014 CKC--My Hobby

This is another double page layout from my September 2014 Fun Play kit. I was inspired to create this page by the Page Maps November 2013 double page layout.
I don't often scrapbook about my hobby, though I have been known to on occasion.
I actually captured a photo of my sister on my computer screen as we were Skype-booking.

Notice how the kits are piled up, they still look like that only different months.

Washi tape is an awesome embellishment.

Love that I was able to use 2 of those chipboard borders on this layout.

I also love using us some of those stars that have been in my stash forever!

I love how these pages came together!

September 2014 CKC--Hello There Leaves

Here is a layout I did using my September 2014 CKC kit. I was inspired to make the layout using the Scrapbook Generation Sketchbook Volume 2, 7 photo sketch.
These are my grandkids Cameron and Zoë.
I love the pattern papers that are in this kit, they matched the photos so well!

I love how all the embellishments worked so well with these pages.

I cut  the top of a project life care off and tucked the saying "this happened" under the photo.

I love how my title turned out.

Some of these embellishments are over 10 years old.

I didn't think I would use this portion of this journaling card, but I'm glad I was able to!

This is a printable from pinterest, I had several of them in different colors and I think this is the last one.

Those little green resin corner embellishments have been in my stash for well over 10 years, probably closer to 15 years or more.

April 2014 CKC Cards

I don't have any new Christmas cards to share with you today so I will share some that I made a while ago.

I had lots of scraps and random bits in my April 2014 CKC and decided to make some cards.
I love that I was able to use up so many scraps, bits and pieces from my April 2014 CKC kit!

I love that I finally used those tiny flowers, they have been in my stash forever!

I also love that I was able to use so many bits of 6x6 papers for these cards.

I even used some cut apart pieces.

All the inks and stamps are from CTMH.
