April 2014 CKC--Love This Girl

I don't have photos of the April kit that I put together but I did share the video that I made of the kit last weekend, so scroll back to last Saturday or Sunday and you will find the link there.

I used Sketch #84 from Creative Scrappers to complete this layout.
I love how this layout turned out!

I used the sticker banners with a bit of twine to make this banner across the corner.

I actually cut the wood veneer up so that I could use a bit of it in the lower corner. I also was able to use one of those little bird clips.

The word love is from Michaels, I bought several pieces to play with. I love the layering in this corner and the word cut outs that are at the bottom left of the photo.

January 2015 CKC--Fun

Here is another layout using my Renewal kit.
Love that little face!!!
This layout started with a sketch from Pagemaps September 2013.

I chopped up the bling border strip from my kit and used several pieces on this layout. along with layered stickers, cut apart words and rub ons.

I even managed to use 3 of the square pink brads from the kit. I cut the Heidi Swapp stickers that were in the kit apart to add as the base of the embellishment clusters in this layout. I even have half of one left.

I even added in some enamel dots, I've nearly used all of the enamel dots that I put into the kit...yah me!!!

January 2015 CKC--A Gift For Sweetie

This is another layout I made using my Renewal kit.
I talked to Shani on the phone prior to this visit and she told me she was bringing me a gift in a gift, it was so fun unwrapping the outer gift and then getting to unwrap the inner gift!
I was inspired to create this layout using a sketch from Pagemaps February 2012.

I used one of the chipboard alpha's in the kit and spray misted them blue, I also spray misted the butterfly pink.

One of the sticker sheets had this little gift sticker, love it!

You can hardly tell it but there is a piece of gold glitter ribbon on this layout as well as a blue scalloped border sticker. I was also able to use several more word cut aparts.

January 2015 CKC--Hey I've Got Sick Eyes But I Am Still Happy

This is another layout using my Renewal kit.
I love the story behind these photos. My grand daughter Shani came over on a school day and when I asked her why she didn't go to school she told me she had sick eyes (photo 1) then she broke out that smile (photo 2) and told me she wasn't sick at all!
My inspiration for this page came from an upside down Pagemaps sketch from June 2013.

I love that I was able to use the faux enamel frown faces here. After I applied the glue I didn't add anything to weight them down and they curled up again. Ugh! I chopped the sketchy flowers up, they were originally a cluster of 5. I also added another piece of that gold glitter ribbon to this page.

I added the flower and eaves that I added glitter to here, talk about a mess, I still have glitter everywhere in my Scraproom form this adventure.

Another cut apart here, I love that I a getting some of them used up!

January 2015 CKC--Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining

Here is another layout I made using my Renewal kit.
Love this layout only because I love the man in the bottom photo so much! I've told the story and even showed the photos on my blog before but I haven't scrapped it until now. Several years ago my bottom shelf fell off the wall. Yes...stuff went everywhere. It even punched a hole in my oak counter top (I think it was a weak spot because it's hollow inside of it). When he took the shelf down, he went ahead and took them all down so he could then install the bracket system that you see in the  photos.
I used a sketch from Pagemaps March 2013 to create this layout.

I was able to use a little scrap of paper and some brads here.

The top most shelf hold pictures, Mr. Gulley doesn't want me climbing up there to store anything for fear that I might has been said that I am fairly clumsy! I've added more of the gold glitter ribbon here. I even added a faux enamel embellishment here, can you see it?

The sticker here said hero and I added "my" to it because Mr. Gulley is my hero! He put the whole bracket system on the wall so I could add really heavy stuff up there without fear of the shelves falling off the wall again.

I love that this card was on the cut apart sheet, it so worked for the title of this layout!

I can't believe it!!!
I made it onto my first design team!!
So which one is it?
I am super excited about being selected to play along with the other design team members on this Challenge Blog!
Come on, you know you have tons of stuff to use in your own stash, shoot, even if you go out and buy something new it's now part of your stash and what better way to get motivated to "Use Your Stuff" than by playing along with us each week.
Challenge #170 is to use PAINT...
Do you have any paint in your stash?
Oh come on now, what about that bottle in the back of the drawer or under that stack of paper or behind that rack of doo dads?
I went digging in my stash and found a bottle green acrylic craft paint and 2 bottles of stickles, don't even ask how old those are!!!!
I tried my hand at painting some Christmas trees on some scrap paper.
I narrowed it down to these 2, I added some stickles to emulate ornaments.
I grabbed some stamps and got busy doing some stamping on the card bases.
And here is the final product, 2 more Christmas cards to go into my stash for this coming Christmas.
Now I think I'm off to find some paint to try on a scrapbook layout.
Have fun with this weeks challenge everyone!!!

April 2014 CKC--Pool Day & Fun Day

Sunday's are the day that I try and share older layouts that just haven't made it onto my blog yet. I may eventually get them all posted and when that happens I will have to figure out something else to do on Sundays, but until then...
I used a kit that I made last year to create this layout, I'm sharing the video I made because I can't find any photos of the kit.

I used Sketch #33 from the Creative Scrappers web site to complete this layout.
I followed the sketch pretty closely but I did change it up just a bit.

Love the tiny stickers to make the title.

I splattered ink along the sides along with sequins. I added tons of stickers to this layout as well.

Love that camera sticker and those random stickers that resemble washi.

April 2014 CKC--Best Ever Remember this...

I'm using today to catch up on an older layout that I did using a kit that I put together last year that I just realized that I never shared on my blog.
I did make a video of the kit though I didn't find any photos of it...

I used Sketch #52 from the Creative Scrappers Blog.
I was able to get the paint I included in the kit to break up a little and I mixed a bit with water and splattered on this layout. The remainder of the jar went into the trash.
The Remember this is actually a vellum piece that I ran through my zyron to add adhesive to the entire back.

I was able to use lots of stickers on this layout.

I was even able to use some more of the word/phrase cut aparts on this layout.

January 2015 CKC--Waiting Together

Here is another layout I made using my Renewal kit.
These photos are from February 2012 during my niece's baby shower, with her first daughter, she now has 2. Yes I am behind on my scrapping. Anyway, these are photos of my sister in law and nieces.
My inspiration for this page was a sketch from Pagemaps October 2012

I used a gold embossed heart here along with a couple sticker hearts. I spray misted the butterflies with the blue ink I included in the kit; I also added beige pearls onto them. I added another of the faux enamel embellishments here.

I did add the dark ink twine to this kit because the lighter colors that I had out did not show up on this bold background. I popped the arrow stickers up using foam adhesive.

the green enamel flower sticker here is one that was in one of my leftover sticker packs that I added to the kit. I used another faux enamel embellishment here as well. I layered up several stickers here to do my journaling on.

I added another leftover enamel flower sticker and another faux enamel embellishment. The word noted is a gold embossed word and the good day is a cut apart that is popped up on foam adhesive.

January 2015 CKC--Love this moment

Here is another layout I made using my Renewal kit
This is a layout of my sister in law and niece from California. I did add the gold glitter ribbon to this page, I didn't feel like I had enough glitter on this page..
I used a Pagemaps sketch from July 2013 to create this page.

I used a punch out journal spot with a chipboard layered embellishment on top. I used lots of rub ons, brads and resin flowers on this layout.

I used another gold embossed word here along with 2 alpha fonts .

I used a second punch out journal spot that I cut in half, I'm sure I will get the other half used with this it.

January 2015 CKC--Live, Love & Laugh

Here is another layout that I made using my Renewal kit.
I'm still scrapping photos from 2 years ago, this photo is of my brother and sister in law and was taken when my other brother and sister in law came from California for a visit. Everything I used on this layout was from my kit.
I used a Pagemaps sketch from January 2015.

I was able to use one of the gold embossed words along with 2 wood veneer words and an ampersand from an alpha pack in the kit.
I used the ink that I included in my kit to make an alcohol ink and sprayed the flowers, these are actually the ones that I cut the bottom off of, I just strategically cut them apart and tucked them under the photo.

I actually cut all the words apart that were on the word page that came in the pattern paper pack and was able to use one here.
